It’s only since we attached an Ultraroof to this design that it has become the busiest place in the house as prior to that it was largely left uninhabited. The roof plays a major part in keeping any structure like this well insulated and the Ultraroof will deliver that in abundance, a roof covering that was pre-manufactured ahead of the final installation. There are very noticeable rectangular glazed panels in the Ultraroof and lightweight tiles / slates make up the rest of the roof. As a space-saving measure, spotlights were placed into the perimeter ceiling and keep it illuminated. The choice of a Golden Oak finish was done to create a vintage style extension.
When integrating the new roof we also added patio doors so that the occupants had added incentive to use their garden more frequently and tend to it whenever necessary. They have a huge presence just like the Ultraroof does. Modern conservatory roofing systems come no better than the Ultraroof and it really works beautifully with the rest of the design. Following these modifications, the orangery is so much more cosy and inviting and there was definite cause for celebration once we’d done our job. Popping open the champagne and toasting the reinvented orangery, the family have fallen in love with their orangery again.
